"Something in me had to die to break this deathgrip I had forged." We hold on to some things so tight, we struggle to grasp those things we need to take on board. This song was inspired by change that came about through pain.
I had originally intended to release this song at the end of the year - however an easing to Queensland Government Covid-19 restrictions saw outdoor dancing again being allowed from today, as well as indoor/outdoor dancing at weddings, so I brought forward the release date! Check out YouTube for another music video release for this song!
This song is an ode to those beach party songs of the early 80s. A party on the beach and everybody has a good time! Check out my music video on YouTube - it's all happening!
Virus Crisis already received airplay on The Casey Beat, prior to it's release late last night. It started out as two songs but morphed into one encompassing rap song. Nik describes it as rabbit hole song - the longer you listen, the deeper it gets. Five more releases are scheduled for 2020 and more songs for 2021 are already written.
"The Magician" was played on The Casey Beat again last night (that's two weeks in a row for this latest release and the 5th consecutive week of 3SER airplay). How magic is that?! David Totton had some great things to say in his intro - have a listen here.
My latest song was released for Halloween - and played on the Casey Beat that same night! David played another of mine "Virus Crisis" as a preview, which was an extra buzz to the night. It was great hearing my friend Jade Starr 's songs during the show also, straight after mine. What a treat! Virus Crisis is set for release on 10 November, so keep an eye/ear out for that one!
Isn't technology wonderful?! This was the setup earlier to listen (from Brisbane) to Not Alone on The Casey Beat (in Melbourne) - via Radioau.net. It's definitely a buzz to hear my songs receiving airplay and even more encouraging to have my lyrics described as "awesome"! Thanks, David!
