October update ...

Yes. I’ve not put pen to paper for a while. Things still happen in the background.

In September I performed in one of the Lord Mayors Cabaret Showcases, at Arana Leagues Club to a sold-out crowd. There were some great artists. I was very close to not performing as I was recovering from a lurgi but I felt I could get through (and I did). I was happy with how it all worked out.

I’m still heading into Brisbane most weeks for my busking adventures. I catch the train in, and do a few spots in Queen Street Mall. There's been some pleasant interactions, some video footage taken, some interpretative dance appreciation.

Coins and notes have been dropped into my case - and some random offerings. I politely declined the opened bottle of red wine, passed-on the sample bottle of cinnamon whiskey and was intriqued by the carefully-placed, two tightly-folded cigarette papers. I thought praps a note. Nup. Just two cigarette papers! I disposed the used vape from a different day. The apple and orange were good.

I've now signed up for PocketTip, so it will be interesting to see how that goes.

November is fast approaching and I have a few dates lined up. There's a Songwriters' Weekend event at one of the large shopping centres at the start of the month. I've got a slot at Lefty's Music Hall on the 18th. A friend has an art exhibition at Banshee's on the 29th and I'm playing for that.

My eyes have been fixed but my glasses are being updated. I'm looking forward to seeing better.

I'm still playing at Banshees, my local bar in Ipswich. I’m starting to become comfortable with my songs. I've been struggling with a few song writes but looking to finish those soon.

All the best ...
